Homemade Fruit Yogurt Pops

There is nothing better on a hot day, then eating a delicious homemade popsicle! It is a refreshing treat and a healthy one for that!

I remember being a kid and making these, and it felt like f-o-r-e-v-e-r having to wait for them to be ready, but it taught me patience I guess, and it was worth the wait!

When my oldest son was younger I was so excited because I had a reason to make them again and watch him enjoy eating them. He is now almost 17 years old and still gets just as excited as I once did when the popsicle makers come out. It is a great feeling! My youngest is 13 months and loves them as well, perfect for those days his teeth are really bothering him, gives him instant relief.

They are very easy to make and take almost no time at all, except the waiting part I guess, but they are well worth the wait. If you have kids you this is a great time to get them in the kitchen and involved with making them. Let them come up with their own variations!

I use plain yogurt and fruit to make these. I made these ones with strawberries and raspberries. I made an area with only fruit, then a layer of almond flavoured yogurt and then combination of berries, almond and yogurt. They taste fanatic!

You can use fresh of frozen fruit for these. Just be sure to slightly defrost the portion that goes on the bottom of the mould so that it will sit properly for when they freeze.

You can adjusted the flavour of the yogurt to your liking and add vanilla instead of almond. You can add any type of fruit you prefer or no fruit and just have yogurt. What ever you prefer!

I bought my popsicle moulds years ago and I think I paid a couple dollars for them. But if you do not have these moulds, you can always reuse a small yogurt containers with a wooden popsicle stick.
